Mbappé to Madrid: Here Are the Contract Details!

The transfer of French football player Kylian Mbappé to Spanish club "Real Madrid" has become a reality, with an announcement expected within days. According to Spanish sources, Mbappé's signing will be officially announced soon. He is anticipated to be revealed in a grand ceremony at Real Madrid's stadium in front of the fans, in mid-July, after the conclusion of the Euro 2024 Championship.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappé's call to Real Madrid's president was the "decisive" factor in completing the deal. "Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid, HERE WE GO! Every document has been signed, sealed, and completed. Real Madrid is set to announce Mbappé as a new signing next week after winning the Champions League. Mbappé made his decision in February; he can now be considered a new Real player," Romano confirmed.

Previously, Mbappé decided to extend his contract with "Paris Saint-Germain" for an additional season, despite having promised to sign with "Real Madrid." Later, he contacted Florentino Pérez, assuring him that his "dream of playing for Real Madrid still stands, and apologized for not signing at the moment." Romano noted that this call was crucial for Pérez's return to signing with Mbappé.

### Contract Details

According to Romano, Pérez agreed with Mbappé that he would not receive what he was offered in 2022, and that his salary would be comparable to the stars of the team, such as Brazilian Vinícius or English Jude Bellingham. This means that Mbappé will earn around 15 million euros annually.

However, Mbappé will retain 80% of his image rights, meaning he will keep a significant portion of the advertising and marketing revenues he appears in. Additionally, Real Madrid will grant Mbappé a signing bonus of up to 100 million euros. It is worth noting that "Paris Saint-Germain" refused to pay the 80 million euros this season to Mbappé, which is the loyalty bonus it grants him annually.
