Miodrag Radulović: The Lebanon National Team Will Return Strong

The Montenegrin head coach Miodrag Radulović confirmed that the Lebanon national team can return to its previous form and show strong performances again, capable of winning any match. Radulović's remarks came during a press conference held by the Lebanese Football Association this afternoon at the "Ramada" hotel in Raouché, attended by Secretary General Jihad Al-Shahab, team director Rachid Nassar, and journalists.

The veteran coach began by expressing his joy and enthusiasm for returning to Lebanon, "the country where I worked for four years and achieved results I am proud of, and where I have many friends. I decided to return to Lebanon because I love working with the people who contacted me from the Lebanese Football Association, and I am confident that we can achieve positive results as we did before."

Radulović pointed out that results in football do not come overnight but are the result of hard work. "One of the main reasons that motivated me to return is my familiarity with most of the players." He continued: "The key phase we are looking forward to in order to reflect the desired performance linked with results will be in June of next year, where we have two important matches against Palestine and Bangladesh in the double Asian qualifiers. By the time we reach almost a year since the start of our project, we will be able to discuss the continuity of the work that produces quality and results."

"Rado" revealed that he has been following the Lebanon national team during the previous period and noted several observations during the recent friendly match against his home country. "Despite the current circumstances in the country, I sensed that things are moving towards greater professionalism, especially regarding the Lebanese Football Association which has raised the organizational level. Of course, the main issue is that we are not playing on our home ground to draw strength from our fans, but we need to establish stability from day one. During every international break, this team can show more improvement, but we must be patient, as I have mentioned, we cannot achieve our goals overnight, especially what we are targeting in June where we aim to qualify for the final round of the World Cup qualifiers."

The national team coach emphasized that talent exists in Lebanese football but needs a specific work program to deliver the best. "Certainly, there is a short time to reach an ideal lineup, but over time, I can say that we can present a strong team capable of winning against anyone, as evidenced by the series of matches where we did not suffer any defeat, an achievement written by the Lebanese players."

Radulović's first meeting with his players will be through the camp he will organize in the north from the 19th to the 28th of this month, where our national team will conduct daily training under his supervision at the Rashid Karami Municipal Stadium in Tripoli.
