Tragic Accident Claims Lives of 5 Students in Egypt

Egyptian media has reported a collision involving a passenger bus carrying students from the Russian University in Egypt and a truck on the Jnifa 1 road towards the city of Suez. The accident resulted in the deaths of 5 students and the bus driver, while 9 others sustained severe injuries and bruises.

The incident began when security forces in the Eastern Security Directorate received a notification from the 10th of Ramadan University Hospital about 10 injured individuals with various bruises and wounds, alongside 5 deceased, including 4 students from the Russian University.

Upon investigation, preliminary findings revealed that the injuries and deaths were caused by a collision between the bus and the truck on the Jnifa 1 road toward Suez on the regional road, leading to the deaths of 4 students from the Russian University and the bus driver, and injuring the 10 others. Subsequently, one of the injured passed away due to the severity of injuries.

Two of the injured were transferred to Zagazig University Hospital for necessary medical treatment, while the bodies of the five deceased were preserved in the morgue of Badr University Hospital. The body of the deceased student was also retained at the 10th of Ramadan University Hospital, pending the investigation by the public prosecution, which took over the case.
