In light of the presidential void and following the recent worst political tension between "Hezbollah" and the "Free Patriotic Movement" since the signing of the Mar Mikhael Agreement, a delegation from the Free Patriotic Movement, including deputies Cesar Abi Khalil, Ghassan Atallah, and Jimmy Jabour, visited Taimour Jumblatt, the head of the "Progressive Socialist Party," in Clemenceau. Attending the meeting were deputies Akram Shihab, Hadi Abou Hassan, and Bilal Abdullah to discuss presidential developments and potentially agree on a new name that could satisfy both parties in the upcoming phase.

The delegation congratulated Jumblatt on his election as president, and they discussed the latest developments on the domestic scene. There was a strong commitment to communication and coordination to consolidate stability in the mountains and throughout Lebanon, aiming for a way out of the current crises and to complete the presidential elections as soon as possible.

In Clemenceau, the Minister of Social Affairs in the caretaker government, Hector Hajjar, also paid a congratulatory visit to Jumblatt on his election as head of the Progressive Socialist Party, accompanied by deputy Bilal Abdullah, Dr. Wiam Abu Hamdan, head of the Economic and Social Development Office, and Jumblatt's advisor Hossam Harb. During the meeting, they discussed the general situation and the serious socio-economic repercussions of the economic crisis, along with the ministry's various programs.

During his reception of the Palestinian ambassador in Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour, Jumblatt praised "the heroic steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their ongoing resistance in all popular, military, and political forms," emphasizing that the Palestinian cause would remain present as long as this struggling people are committed to their land, rights, and state. He called for complete unity among all Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and all territories occupied in 1948, commending the deep-rooted belonging of every spectrum of the Palestinian people and their perseverance in identity and history.

Jumblatt stressed the necessity of granting Palestinians in Lebanon their natural rights to live a decent life, reminding everyone of the legislative and practical efforts made by the Progressive Socialist Party in this regard, while firmly upholding the right of return. Additionally, Jumblatt received the Turkish ambassador in Lebanon, Ali Barış Ulusoy, in a congratulatory visit.
