His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz has approved the launch of the fourth edition of the National Charity Campaign via the National Charity Platform (Ehsan), on the evening of Friday, 5 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to March 15, 2024. This initiative falls within his continuous support for all charitable and benevolent efforts, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The campaign, which will continue until the end of the holy month, reflects the care and attention given to charitable work by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, seeing it as a goal of Sharia that provides an opportunity for all community members to participate in charitable activities and enhance social solidarity during Ramadan, a time when rewards and merits are multiplied.
On this occasion, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, head of the supervisory committee for the Ehsan platform, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their continued support for the Ehsan platform since its royal decree launch, enabling the non-profit sector, and encouraging the community and philanthropists to follow their blessed path.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Al-Qasabi stated that the fourth edition of the National Charity Campaign builds on the significant response garnered by previous campaigns, including the third edition, which received over 760 million riyals in donations benefiting more than 398,000 beneficiaries through over 10.4 million donation transactions. The campaign also set a Guinness World Record for the largest daily donation globally within 24 hours on the 27th night of Ramadan last year, reflecting the great solidarity among community members.
The Ehsan platform is receiving donations from benefactors digitally during the campaign across various charitable and developmental fields, as well as for the Ehsan Endowment Fund, with complete trust and security via the platform's app and website (Ehsan.sa) or through the unified number: 8001247000.
