AC Milan announced today, Friday, that they have officially signed one of Real Madrid's talents to strengthen the team's roster for the coming years. Milan stated in a communiqué on its official website that they have finalized the transfer of Alex Jimenez, the left-back from Real Madrid, who will join and sign a contract with the Rossoneri until the summer of 2028.
Milan said: "The club is pleased to announce that it has activated the purchase option in Alex Jimenez's contract, allowing him to move from Real Madrid to Milan on a permanent transfer." The Italian club emphasized that 19-year-old Jimenez has signed a contract until 2028, with an option for an additional year extending to June 30, 2029.
Jimenez progressed through Real Madrid's youth academy and joined Milan last season, where he played in 19 matches with the team and participated in the UEFA Youth Champions League final. He made his first-team debut for Milan on January 2 of this year in a cup match against Cagliari, and he has appeared in 5 matches with the first team.
It is noteworthy that Jimenez's loan agreement with Milan included a clause that made the transfer permanent for €5 million, prompting Milan to activate this option and permanently acquire the player.
