Syrian President Bashar Assad affirmed that "today's war is a war of truth, and what happened in Palestine broke the dominance of the Zionist narrative globally." He pointed out that "holding onto issues protects homelands, and the Palestinian people succeeded in holding onto their cause." During a meeting of the central committee of the Ba'ath Party, Assad stated, "Palestine has proven, especially with what happened recently in Gaza, that the West is colonial and has not changed, exposing the West to Westerners who used to believe in the principles offered, such as democracy, freedom, humanity, and others. It changed the reality for the people in Western countries and for others who were fascinated by the West, including those in our Arab world."

Assad added that "the only thing worth talking about is the Palestinian situation, especially what happened recently in Gaza, which changed historical facts that have persisted for many years and perhaps for generations, and will not change in the foreseeable future regardless of the war's results. Gaza was destroyed, the Palestinian people were displaced, and the Palestinian population was exterminated. There are facts that have emerged, and these facts for us are lessons learned that we must reflect on and learn from because they intersect significantly with what Syria experienced and what other Arab countries, and perhaps non-Arab countries, might experience, as the principles are the same for peoples and homelands."

He continued by stating that "the war in Palestine ultimately proved, through the resistances, that technology is more important than weapons, that faith is stronger than the cruelty of terrorism and crime, that offense is the best means of defense, that what is taken by force cannot be regained except by force, and that surrendering to enemies is not an option but rather suicide. I believe these principles are very significant lessons we learn from past wars, as I mentioned, culminating in Gaza, but had it not been for various experiences and previous achievements that laid the groundwork for the recent victories of the resistance, we would not have been able to benefit from these lessons."
