Canadian police have arrested Austrian-Canadian billionaire Frank Stronach, a parts manufacturer, on allegations of sexual assault that span decades. The Peel Regional Police indicated that the 91-year-old Stronach has been charged with five offenses, including rape, sexual assault of a woman, sexual assault, and forcible confinement. According to a police statement, he has been released under conditions and will appear in Ontario's justice court in Brampton at a later date. Peel Regional Police official Tyler Bell stated, "This is clearly a high-profile case... the special victims unit is committed to protecting victims, which is why we have been vague... there are more victims, but we will not confirm the number yet." Canadian police announced that the "sexual assaults occurred from the 1980s to 2023." Stronach became one of the wealthiest individuals in Canada by founding Magna in his garage in 1957, turning it into one of the largest auto parts suppliers in the world. Notably, in 2018, Frank filed a lawsuit against his daughter, two of his grandchildren, and his former business partner Alon Osip in Ontario's Supreme Court, claiming they mismanaged family assets and conspired to take control of them.
