The Israeli army issued new evacuation orders today, Saturday, for residents of the southern neighborhoods of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip, to the newly established "humanitarian zone" in the Mawasi area. The army stated that it has "intelligence information" indicating that "Hamas operates within the humanitarian zone."
In a statement, they referred to "changes that have occurred to the boundaries of the humanitarian zone" and urged Palestinians taking shelter in the area to temporarily evacuate to the designated area in Mawasi.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee posted on the platform "X": "In light of numerous terrorist activities and rocket fire towards Israel from within the western neighborhoods of Khan Younis, the presence in that area has become dangerous."
