U.S. Secretary of State to Visit Israel on This Date

The U.S. Department of State announced this Friday evening that "Secretary of State Antony Blinken will head to Israel tomorrow, Saturday." It noted that "Blinken will continue efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement and secure the release of hostages through Washington's proposal." Earlier today, Israeli media revealed that Blinken is expected to arrive in Israel next Sunday, with the aim of joining efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza and avoiding escalation.
