Blinken Arrives in Cairo

As efforts continue by intermediaries Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to push for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Cairo today, Tuesday. Blinken is expected to meet with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, as well as his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdel Atti and intelligence chief Abbas Kamel, who led the Egyptian delegation to the Doha talks last week, in addition to negotiations that took place on Sunday and Monday in the Egyptian capital.
