The Israeli army has escalated its assaults on southern villages and towns, with media reports indicating that the outskirts of the town of Naqoura faced Israeli artillery shelling. The reports noted that a fire broke out in the Luban forest after Israeli forces deliberately ignited it in the area. Additionally, warplanes targeted a house in the Khaleh Mashta area of Bint Jbeil in two waves in the afternoon. They also targeted a building at the intersection of the town of Tayr in the direction of Safeh al-Hawa - Bint Jbeil, leading to its destruction.
In response, Hezbollah launched a nighttime attack with assault drones on Israeli positions east of Nahariya. The party announced in a statement that, "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza, and in solidarity with their brave and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli enemy's attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance on Monday, 2024-5-27, targeted a building used by enemy soldiers in the Margalit colony with appropriate weapons; achieving confirmed hits."
Hezbollah also stated that, "In response to the Israeli enemy's attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes, a concentrated fire attack was carried out on the Malakia site with guided missiles and artillery shells aimed at its defenses and equipment, and the positions of its soldiers. The attack drones also dropped their munitions on targets inside the site, hitting them accurately."
In another statement, it was announced that "the newly established espionage equipment at the Misgav Am site was targeted and directly hit, leading to its destruction." It also pointed out that "in response to the Israeli assault on the square of the town of Hula and the citizens present there, an aerial attack was carried out with assault drones on the Beit Hillel base (headquarters of the 769th Brigade) targeting Iron Dome platforms and hitting its crews, officers, and soldiers in their locations accurately."
