Blinken: A Ceasefire Could Have Happened If Hamas Had Agreed

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Tuesday that Washington is still reviewing a large shipment of bombs to Israel due to concerns about their potential use in densely populated areas. This statement came in response to a question during a press conference about the status of the arms shipments after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Blinken had confirmed to him last week that the Biden administration is working to lift restrictions on arms shipments. On another note, Blinken mentioned that "a ceasefire could be happening now if Hamas had agreed to the proposal." He also expressed that "I do not believe that Israel, Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Iran want to escalate the conflict."
