Israeli Airstrikes on Border Villages.. Hezbollah Responds

The Israeli army announced that it "targeted military sites and infrastructure of Hezbollah in response to rocket launches from Lebanon towards Israel." Israeli forces bombarded areas between Rashaya al-Fakhar and the Khirbet Mazar region, as well as parts of Al-Fardis, Kafr Hammam, Al-Wastani, and Al-Shamisa on the outskirts of the town of Shabaa. Additionally, artillery fire targeted the outskirts of the towns of Yaroun, Aytaroun, and Aita al-Shaab, and two airstrikes were carried out on the areas between Rashaya al-Fakhar and the Khirbet Mazar, and on the outskirts of Al-Fardis and Kafr Hammam. The newspaper "Haaretz" reported that "five people were injured due to the fall of anti-tank missiles on the northern border."

In response, the military media of Hezbollah stated in a statement that "its members targeted the settlements of Dovev and Avivim (the occupied Lebanese village of Slha) with appropriate weapons and inflicted confirmed casualties." They reiterated that they "will not tolerate any harm to civilians and will not allow the violation of our villages and towns, and will respond to any aggression by striking the settlements in northern occupied Palestine."

In another statement, Hezbollah announced that they targeted gathering centers for Israeli soldiers in the Shebaa Farms and achieved direct hits, in addition to targeting a position in the Jurdah area with suitable weapons.

Barely had the hot night in the south ended when Israeli shelling resumed this morning, targeting homes, causing casualties, and resulting in destruction. Israeli bombardment targeting the town of Maroun al-Ras this morning resulted in the martyrdom of a citizen and injured her husband. Israeli artillery, stationed within the occupied Palestinian territories, shelled residential neighborhoods in Maroun al-Ras, directly hitting the home of citizen Majid Mahna, leading to the martyrdom of his wife, Nihad Mousa Mahna, and injuring him while they are both in their eighth decade of life. Teams from the Islamic Message Scouts transferred the body and the injured to Salah Ghandoor Hospital in Bint Jbeil, where Mahna was given first aid. Additionally, the outskirts of Naqoura were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling and alarms were sounded at the UNIFIL headquarters.
