The "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" announced early Monday morning the targeting of a vital Israeli site in Eilat, known as "Um al-Rashrash." The resistance stated in a message: "Continuing our approach in resisting occupation and supporting our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and elders, the Islamic Resistance fighters in Iraq targeted a vital site in Um al-Rashrash in occupied Eilat this Monday morning, July 1."
The statement added that the targeting operation was carried out using drone technology. The "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" affirmed its commitment to continue striking enemy strongholds. The resistance is claiming responsibility for shelling areas in Israel and American bases in Syria and Iraq as a response to the destructive Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, warning the United States that the number of armed operations will increase in retaliation for Washington's continued military support to the Israeli army.
On Sunday, the "Coordination of Iraqi Resistance" held a meeting following Israeli-American threats to launch a comprehensive war on Lebanon and its resistance. The coordination stated in a statement that it was decided that if Israel carried out its threats, the pace and type of operations would escalate against them. They emphasized that "American interests in Iraq and the region will be legitimate targets for the resistance."
