Did the Cypriot Embassy Suspend Visa Issuance for Lebanese?

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Elias Bou Saab confirmed in an interview with MTV that "it is not true what was said about the Cypriot Embassy suspending visa issuance; what actually happened was a one-day suspension of visa applications for administrative reasons related to reviewing visa fees, and the embassy will resume receiving applications starting tomorrow." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated in a conversation with LBCI that "the decision to close the Cypriot Embassy for one day has nothing to do with Mr. Nasrallah's comments but was predetermined for administrative reasons related to raising the visa fee, and it will resume operations starting tomorrow." Reports had indicated that "the Cypriot Embassy in Lebanon closed its doors this morning and asked staff not to come to work until further notice." It is expected to reopen after receiving guarantees and political communications between the two countries. Additionally, our source reported that the Lebanese Embassy in Cyprus has not yet received any summons from the Cypriot Foreign Ministry.
