The National Belonging Party has set a date for what it calls the major collapse of Muhammad Al-Halbusi's coalition. The party's Secretary-General, Hikmat Suleiman, stated to "Baghdad Today" that the recent activities of the coalition aim to prove that the exit of its leader Muhammad Al-Halbusi from the position of Speaker of the House does not signify the end, as he is trying to demonstrate his influence to his supporters.
Suleiman emphasized that the reality shows that all media campaigns and speeches during the elections focused on power and gains as collective themes, asserting that "losing them will lead to total collapse from our perspective because there are no fixed ideas." He added that "there is a struggle among Sunni forces regarding who represents the majority," clarifying that "the splits from the Taqaddum party and the return of some do not indicate reform but are contradictions, with the allure of incentives being the main factors."
He pointed out that "there is restlessness within Taqaddum following Al-Halbusi's loss of the Speaker position, and there are forces that did not have a role in his coalition beginning to seek other avenues to express their voices," emphasizing that "the coalition will collapse further the moment it loses the chance to appoint its candidate as Speaker."
It is worth mentioning that MP Nours Al-Essa announced yesterday, Wednesday, her withdrawal from the Taqaddum party led by Muhammad Al-Halbusi and her joining the Initiative Bloc headed by Ziad Al-Janabi. Al-Essa stated in a post on her Facebook page, "Trusting in God, and relying on a sincere will to serve the people and my nation, and after consulting with the wise whom I trust and feel secure in their opinions, I decided to join the Initiative Bloc in pursuit of achieving my people's interests, prioritizing the public interest that I pledged to uphold and protect."
