Death of Charlie Chaplin's Daughter at 74

Josephine Chaplin, the daughter of legendary actor Charlie Chaplin and star of the film "Escape to the Sun," has passed away at the age of 74. Her children, Charlie, Julian, and Arthur, announced the news in a French newspaper, stating that she died on July 13 in Paris. The family added that a private funeral will be held in Paris, without mentioning the cause of death. Josephine Chaplin was born on March 28, 1949, in Santa Monica, California, and was the third of eight children born to Charlie Chaplin and Oona O'Neill, whom Chaplin married in 1943. Josephine's seven siblings are Geraldine, Michael, Victoria, Jane, Annet, Eugene, and Christopher. She was married to Nikki Sistovarais from 1969 until 1977 and later married archaeologist Jean-Claude Gardin, who passed away in 2013. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josephine lived in Paris for many years, starring in numerous French films and managing the Chaplin family office.
