The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires and informed her of Moscow's protest regarding "American journalists accompanying Nazi forces of Kyiv in the Kursk region" and notified her that mercenaries are targets for the Russian army. The statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry read: "These practices contradict the claims of President Joe Biden's administration of non-involvement in the attacks by Ukrainian neo-Nazis on Russia, exposing the United States as a direct partner in the conflict and the malicious intentions of expired President Volodymyr Zelensky."
