Israeli Air Force Expands Operations in Lebanon

The Israeli army announced that "the Air Force has begun bombing rocket-launching platforms in southern Lebanon." Israeli Channel 12 reported, citing security officials, that "what is happening on the northern border remains limited, and we are not entering an unmanageable escalation." Additionally, Channel 12 indicated that following a broad attack launched by "Hezbollah" on over 10 Israeli positions and bases, "the Air Force has started conducting airstrikes on various locations in Lebanon." Israeli aircraft targeted the outskirts of the town of Deir Sryan while simultaneously expanding their artillery bombardment to reach the outskirts of the town of Qabr Shmoun from the direction of Wadi Saluq. The outskirts of the town of Naqoura in the western sector also faced Israeli artillery fire, while Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over Beirut, Aley, Bashamoun, and the Shouf region at low altitude.
