Russian nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg mentioned food items that inevitably cause premature aging of the skin and hair. He noted that, first and foremost, foods rich in sugar, including honey and jam, play a significant role. He stated that sweets not only harm hair but also the skin overall, with skin aging being the primary concern.
Ginzburg added that excessive consumption of sunflower oil and margarine negatively affects human appearance. He said, "Everyone knows the harms of margarine, but few realize that sunflower oil is not beneficial either, even though it has always been considered a good food item. However, sunflower oil dangerously dominates the Russian diet over olive oil, which is very bad."
He also pointed out that deeply processed meats contribute to the development of aging, including sausages and all types of hot dogs. Many people include meat on this list, claiming it is harmful and causes aging, in contrast to fish.
He emphasized that salty foods deteriorate hair and skin, citing salted herring and mackerel as examples. He noted that excessive salt is harmful in general, even according to healthy eating guidelines, so pickled vegetables and salted cucumbers cause premature aging of the skin and worsen hair conditions.
The specialist stated, "To maintain youthfulness, one should include sea fish, berries, colorful fruits and vegetables, and Eastern spices, such as turmeric, garlic, and ginger, in their diet. Dairy products and complex carbohydrates are also beneficial, meaning that the ideal product is a mixture with yogurt. Adding more berries to it creates a 'hair cocktail'."
