Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani directed the swift resolution of infrastructure projects in Baghdad and the rapid decision-making for initiatives that will help alleviate service crises, in line with the large population size of the capital. Al-Sudani confirmed that "the government has committed itself to overcoming the various obstacles delaying project completion and is keen on the progress of implementation." He also instructed the officials of the Secretariat not to hesitate in making decisions that favor major projects aimed at addressing the service crises for the residents of Baghdad. He has referred six overpasses for implementation, which fall under the responsibility of the Secretariat as part of the projects to alleviate congestion, with three located in the Rasafa side and three in the Karkh side.
