The Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chaired a meeting of the Cabinet at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, where the "Blue Residence," a long-term residence program for 10 years, was approved.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stated via the "X" platform: "Today, I chaired a Cabinet meeting at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. At the beginning, we approved the national agenda for youth until 2031."

He added, "The Council's directives to the Minister of Youth focus on five important issues: economically empowering our youth, enhancing their scientific skills, consolidating their national identity, boosting their community contributions, and activating their role in representing their country internationally."

He noted that "the announcement of university rankings is an important step to enhance the quality of higher education in our country. It is also a significant move to establish transparency and empower families to choose what is most suitable and best for their children."

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that "as part of the Cabinet projects to implement the national orientations declared by the UAE President, we have declared that 2024 will be the year of sustainability. We approved today the 'Blue Residence,' which will be a long-term residence for 10 years granted to individuals who have made extraordinary contributions and efforts in environmental protection, whether marine or terrestrial, air quality, sustainability and modern techniques, circular economy, and other related fields. The sustainability of our economy is now linked to the sustainability of our environment, and our national directions in this area are clear and steadfast."

He clarified that "today, we approved in the Cabinet, as part of the state strategy to consolidate its position in the field of artificial intelligence, the establishment of the position of Chief Executive Officer for Artificial Intelligence in all major federal entities, which contributes to adopting artificial intelligence tools in these institutions and aids in the transition to a new phase based on empowering advanced technologies in our federal entities."

He continued: "Today, in the council, we reviewed the latest developments in our national space sector, where the percentage of our young workforce involved in global space projects has reached 38%, and spending in the field of space research has increased by 14%."

In conclusion, he affirmed, "We are committed to advancing our youth into promising and advanced sectors, continuing to protect our environment, adopting the best global technologies in our government, and developing our higher education systems; our future youth will be better, God willing."
