Municipality of Mays al-Jabal Condemns the Crime Targeting Four of Its Sons

The Municipality of Mays al-Jabal condemned the airstrike that resulted in the death of four of its residents following the targeting of their home. It called for heightened awareness, particularly regarding movements, and for checking homes, institutions, and livelihoods, as "our enemy practices treachery and criminality."

In a statement, it said: "Once again, the Israeli enemy proves that it indulges in crime, reveling in killing and destruction and shedding the blood of innocent civilians. Today, another massacre is added to the record of the crimes of the Zionists, through the targeting of the town of Mays al-Jabal by an aggressive aerial strike, resulting in the martyrdom of Maia Ali Ammar and her husband, the martyr Fadi Hanika, along with their martyred children, Ahmed and Mohammed Hanika, martyrs of the nation and all of Lebanon."

The statement added: "We present this condemned and denounced massacre by all humanitarian and legal standards, as well as international treaties, to the attention of the local, Arab, and international public. We affirm that this cowardly enemy resorts to targeting civilians because it is incapable of achieving successes on the ground, and its crimes only reinforce our steadfastness, strength, determination, and resilience, clinging to the option and approach of resistance that we have chosen as a way to liberate our land and protect our people, sovereignty, and nation."

The statement continued: "This brutal enemy does not distinguish between civilians, old or young, which is why we are called to patience and endurance. We are also urged to remain vigilant and attentive, especially regarding movements, and to inspect homes, institutions, and livelihoods, as our enemy practices treachery and crime. Our prayers remain for mercy for the honorable martyrs, for recovery for the wounded, and for victory, steadfastness, and support for our heroic fighters and our steadfast, patient people."
