Brief Break Before a New Low-Pressure System

The Department of Weather Forecasts in the Civil Aviation Authority has predicted that tomorrow's weather will be partly cloudy with a gradual decrease in temperatures, which will gradually become cloudy with dense fog in the mountains and scattered rain starting in the afternoon. This will occasionally be accompanied by thunderstorms, active winds, and snow at an altitude of 2200 meters.

The announcement states the following:

- General Situation: A relatively stable autumn weather is dominating Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean until Thursday morning, when it will gradually be affected by a low-pressure system accompanied by cold air masses centered over Greece, which will lead to rainy weather that will continue until Saturday afternoon, gradually retreating eastward.

- Average temperatures in Beirut for November are between 16 and 25 degrees.

- Expected Weather in Lebanon:

- Wednesday: Few clouds with a slight increase in temperatures and fog in the mountains during the morning period.

- Thursday: Partly cloudy with a gradual decrease in temperatures, gradually becoming cloudy with dense fog in the mountains and scattered rain intensifying from the afternoon, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, active winds, and snow at an altitude of 2200 meters.

- Friday: Generally cloudy with a noticeable decrease in temperatures, which will drop below seasonal averages. Dense fog will form in the mountains, and scattered rain will fall, becoming heavy from the afternoon, accompanied by active winds reaching nearly 70 km/h in the northern regions. Snow will fall at an altitude of 2000 meters, with its level dropping at night to touch 1800 meters. Warnings are issued regarding the formation of floods in the southern areas.

- Saturday: Generally cloudy with heavy rain in the morning accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds reaching 80 km/h in the northern regions, causing the sea waves to rise. Fog will form in the mountains, and snow will fall at 1800 meters. Warnings are issued regarding flood formation in central regions, although the intensity of the rain will gradually decrease from the afternoon.

- Temperature on the coast: 19 to 23 degrees; in the mountains: 11 to 19 degrees; inland: 10 to 18 degrees.

- Surface Winds: Northeasterly to southeasterly winds, weak, at speeds between 8 and 25 km/h.

- Visibility: Generally good.

- Relative Humidity on the coast: Between 50 and 70%.

- Sea State: Low wave height, surface water temperature: 24 degrees.
