The "Sharjah 17" boat, led by Rusty Whett, claimed the main race title of the third round of the Formula 1 World Championship, which took place yesterday, Sunday, in Olbia, Italy, with 18 boats participating. The Emirati boat secured the title after a strong performance over 40 complete laps of the race. Frenchman Peter Mourin, representing the Chinese team on boat 7, finished in second place, while Polish competitor Patrick Marszalek on boat 77 took third. The Sharjah 17 boat leads the overall championship standings with 77 points at the end of this stage after an impressive performance in the round. The race saw several twists, starting with an early flip in the first lap by Stefan Arand's boat number 2, followed by a series of stoppages including the failure of the Victory 4 boat, led by Erik Stark, which had been leading the overall standings before the race began. The Abu Dhabi 5 boat, helmed by Emirati champion Thani Al Qemzi, who was in second place until the moment of failure, also experienced issues, along with the Abu Dhabi 6 boat led by Alberto Combreato.
