Jordan and Qatar Discuss Ways to Cease Fire in Gaza

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed efforts to stop the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and several regional issues with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. During their meeting in Doha on Thursday, which is part of the ongoing consultation and coordination between the two countries, Safadi and Al Thani emphasized "the danger of the continued aggression on Gaza and the necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire, and providing adequate aid throughout the Strip."

The two sides talked about "cooperation to address the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, including through the existing cooperation in delivering aid to Gaza via the Jordanian route." They stressed the "need to formulate an effective international stance to stop Israel's illegal actions in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which undermine the two-state solution and the chances of achieving just and comprehensive peace."

Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held intensive discussions today on ways to enhance the strategic brotherly relations between the two countries and reviewed efforts to stop the aggression.
