Drug Traffickers Captured Moving Drugs from Bekaa to Tripoli

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Unit issued the following statement: "Information was received by the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces regarding two unidentified individuals transporting quantities of drugs from Bekaa to Tripoli for the purpose of distributing them to a large number of customers. As a result, the specialized units of the branch began their field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the individuals in question. Through intensive investigations, the branch managed to identify them as follows:

A. A. (born in 1979, Lebanese)

On 31-10-2022, after thorough surveillance and investigation, one of the branch's patrols spotted the two suspects in the area of Sad Brissa, riding two unregistered motorcycles. They set up a tight ambush, which led to their arrest and the seizure of the motorcycles. Upon searching them, a quantity of hashish and cocaine was found hidden inside the motorcycles. Searching the residence of the second detainee yielded a quantity of hashish. During the interrogation, they confessed to regularly and repeatedly transporting drugs from the town of Marjhein in Bekaa to Tripoli in order to distribute them to a large number of customers. Legal action was taken against them, and they were referred along with the seized items to the relevant authorities, based on the directive of the competent judiciary."
