Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly indicated that "the intensity and complexity of the political scene in the Middle East have escalated during this week." He added during a press conference following a government meeting at its headquarters in New Alamein City on Thursday evening: "We are not sure what will happen tomorrow; other shocks may occur that lead to numerous complications and issues for the state." He continued, "We are all in a state of uncertainty regarding the developments of the situation and the crisis; no one knows what will happen tomorrow, amid tensions and the Iranian reaction to the scene and its repercussions on the region, and the fear of the conflict escalating on a larger scale."
