Sources told the newspaper "Al-Watan" that the Syrian army is launching its largest campaign among the operations to comb the Badia area to pursue "ISIS" cells and stop their infiltration from the American military base in Al-Tanf. Field sources in the Syrian Badia reported that the campaign, which began more than a week ago, primarily aims to close the transit routes for "ISIS" from Al-Tanf and the surrounding 55-kilometer area, where logistical support from the American army is provided to them. It was confirmed that securing the Badias of Sokhna and Palmyra is the main objective of the Syrian army’s operation, in addition to the Badia of Al-Rasafa south of Raqqa and the western Badia of Deir ez-Zor, which is intended to protect the international roads passing through the region.
