Turkish Defense: Israel is Bringing the Region to Greater Catastrophes

Turkish Defense Ministry spokesman Admiral Zeki Akturk stated that Israel continues its unfair and illegal practices, which pose the risk of dragging the region into greater catastrophes. In his statements today, he said: "Israel continues its inhumane attacks and massacres targeting innocent civilians. The number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in Israeli attacks on Gaza has approached 40,000." He continued: "Those who have survived the killings in Gaza have been displaced and forced to live deprived of their basic humanitarian needs. Schools, hospitals, and other civilian sites remain targets of Israeli bombs." Akturk pointed out that "Israel's attacks on Yemen and Lebanon increase the risk of conflict escalation and instability in our region," emphasizing that "Israel must act within the framework of the law and accept an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, in accordance with the appeals of the international community and the decisions of the United Nations and the Security Council."
