Travel Warnings for Lebanon Escalate, Most Recently from This Country

Britain has urged its citizens to leave Lebanon and avoid travel there amidst rising tensions in the Middle East. He added, "We advise British nationals to leave Lebanon and not to travel to the country," noting that "Foreign Office staff are on call to help ensure the safety of British citizens." In its travel advice, the Foreign Office warned that events in the region could escalate without warning. Intensive diplomatic efforts are underway to prevent the conflict from escalating into a regional war following the intensification of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
