Today, Monday, Ittihad FC announced the signing of Saudi international striker Saleh Al-Shehri, who joins from Al-Hilal on a free transfer. Ittihad posted a video on its "X" platform account showing Saleh Al-Shehri, captioned: "A new tiger has arrived."
The club did not disclose details of the deal, but the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that Al-Shehri joined "The Brigadier" to bolster the team's attack alongside Frenchman Karim Benzema, with a contract lasting three seasons.
Al-Hilal announced the departure of Al-Shehri at the end of June, citing a lack of need for his services for the upcoming season based on a recommendation from Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus. Al-Shehri is the third signing for Ittihad this summer, following the acquisition of Algerian international Houssem Aouar from Italian club Roma and Muath Faqihi from Al-Hilal.
