The Israeli army has intensified its attacks on the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, with warplanes conducting a series of strikes on the area located east of Gaza City. Over the past twenty-four hours, 43 people have been killed and 111 injured due to three massacres committed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip. As the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip enters its 269th day today, Israeli artillery has demolished numerous homes after the warplanes targeted the Tal al-Sultan area west of Rafah City. The Israeli air force also targeted the towns of Abasan and Khuza'a east of Khan Younis in the southern part of the territory. Furthermore, various areas in the Strip have witnessed fierce battles, with intense clashes erupting between resistance factions and Israeli army forces at the incursion points.
In this context, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated after a situation assessment session in Rafah City that Hamas is exhausted and unable to recover. He emphasized that the army will continue its operations to prevent the movement from rebuilding its strength. Galant noted that the fighting in Rafah is extremely important, indicating that they are effectively "suffocating Hamas" by controlling the Rafah crossing and the tunnels. He mentioned that as a result, Hamas has no outlet to arm themselves, no place to prepare, no means to bring in reinforcements, and no way to treat their casualties, adding, "and we see this very clearly." Galant affirmed that the "fighting spirit" of Palestinian resistance factions is "breaking down, and time is actually working against them, not in their favor."
