Mutual Shelling Along the Southern Lebanese Border

The Israeli army announced that "any cell sent by Hezbollah to the security fence or launching rockets will be eliminated." A cautious calm prevailed this Monday morning along the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine, stretching from Naqoura to the Ramya Gate, following morning tensions where Israeli artillery shelled the Lubna area, resulting in smoke rising from the shells in Ras Naqoura.

Hezbollah announced in separate statements, "We targeted the technical and spying equipment of the Biyaad Bled site with appropriate weapons and achieved direct hits, in addition to targeting its bunkers and garrison." They further stated, "We targeted the technical equipment of the Metula site with appropriate weapons and achieved direct hits." Additionally, "the Israeli Branite barracks was targeted with four guided missiles, hitting the site directly, prompting the Israeli artillery to retaliate by shelling the outskirts of Aita al-Shab and Ramya." They also targeted "the technical equipment of the maritime Ras Naqoura site with guided missiles, achieving direct hits."

In turn, the Israeli army stated: "We attacked Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon after armed individuals fired at an Israeli site on the Lebanese border." Israeli missile attacks were recorded in the vicinity of Adaisseh and Kafr Kila, and missiles were intercepted over the Nahariya area in northern Israel. Sirens sounded in Shlomi and the western Galilee along the border with Lebanon.

Moreover, the army's command - Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement: "On 30/10/2023, as a result of search and inspection operations in areas launching rockets toward occupied Palestinian territories, units from the army found 21 rocket launch pads in the areas of Wadi al-Khansa, Khreiba - Hasbaya district, and Qalila - Tyre district, one of which contained a rocket ready for launch, and the specialized units worked on dismantling it."

This morning, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft was spotted flying over villages in the western sector, and Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier near Tyre on the eastern side. The Israeli army targeted Shebaa and Bastra with phosphorous shells and dropped illuminating bombs.

An Israeli drone carried out an airstrike on a house in the town of Aita al-Shab. According to a reporter for Al-Manar: The enemy dropped more illuminating shells over the valley of Shebaa town in an attempt to burn its forests.

Security forces found a rocket launcher prepared for firing in Wadi Khansa in the Hasbaya area, which they dismantled and transported to a military center. Reports indicated that "the Israeli army targeted the forest surrounding the Israeli 'Monk' site at the border of Aita al-Shab with 12 shells, including phosphorous shells, two of which fell into occupied territories."

The Israeli army launched 15 shells on the Mashrafa area south of Naqoura, causing several fires. Simultaneously, the fires continued to burn in the trees and forests surrounding the towns of Naqoura and Aita al-Shab since yesterday due to the enemy shelling, and firefighting teams were unable to extinguish them due to ongoing bombings targeting those areas. Throughout the night, the Israeli army fired illuminating and incendiary bombs in the skies over the western and central sectors to ignite fires in the woods adjacent to the Blue Line at the border with Palestine. The mentioned areas and villages experienced a tense night following the expansion of enemy shelling, in addition to airstrikes carried out by hostile warplanes.
