The spokesman for Ansar Allah, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced today, Monday, that the Houthi group targeted two American ships. In his statement, he said: "In support of the oppressed Palestinian people who are currently subjected to aggression and siege in the Gaza Strip, and in response to the American and British aggression against our country, the naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces executed two qualitative military operations targeting two American ships in the Gulf of Aden, the first being 'Sea Champion' and the second 'Navis Fortuna.' The targeting operation was carried out with a number of suitable naval missiles, and the hits were accurate and direct, thanks to God."
He added: "The total number of operations by the armed forces in the past twenty-four hours has reached four. The first targeted a British ship, resulting in its complete sinking, thanks to God. The second operation targeted the American 'MQ9' aircraft in the airspace over Al Hudaydah Governorate, while the last two operations targeted two American ships." He continued: "The Yemeni armed forces affirm their full right to take further military actions in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea in defense of our people, our country, and our nation, and to reaffirm their supportive stance for the oppressed Palestinian people, declaring that their operations in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea will escalate and will not cease until the aggression stops and the siege is lifted from the Palestinian people in Gaza."
