Netanyahu to Ben Gvir: Prove You’re Not Leaking State Secrets

The Likud party, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, hinted that National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir is leaking confidential discussions from the ministerial security and political cabinet. In a statement published by Likud, it noted Ben Gvir's request to join the war cabinet, revealing that "Netanyahu told Ben Gvir: anyone who wants to be a partner in the war cabinet must prove that they do not leak state secrets or private discussions."

It is noted that Ben Gvir has been accused of leaking closed discussions on several occasions, including by Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai, who claimed that the minister was "recording private conversations." However, the Otzma Yehudit party, headed by Ben Gvir, responded by saying: "Otzma Yehudit supports the law to expose lying government members and calls on the Prime Minister to promote it quickly, also applying to those with pacemakers," referring to the procedure Netanyahu underwent.

In response to Likud, the National Camp led by Benny Gantz stated that "anyone who believes that there is a minister leaking state secrets should not be given control over the Israeli Police and government members."
