Mikati from the South: Israeli Threats as a Form of Psychological Warfare

The caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, began a tour in the south, with his first stop at the command center of the South Litani Sector of the army in the Benwa Barakat barracks in Tyre. Mikati listened to a detailed explanation about the situation in the south and the tasks being carried out by the army. He stated, "At every stop, we reaffirm that the army is the support and the shield of the nation in every sense of the word. The primary objective of our tour today is to observe the progress of the official exams, but the pivotal question is, if the army were not present in the south, would it have been possible to conduct the exams?"

He added, "I commend your bravery and sacrifices, and as political authority, we stand by you in every sense of the word, and we will continue to do so. I am aware of the difficulties you are facing, but, God willing, they will pass." He affirmed that "the threats we are witnessing are a form of psychological warfare, and the question that is on everyone's lips is whether there is a war? Yes, we are in a state of war, and there are many martyrs among civilians and non-civilians, and numerous villages have been destroyed due to Israeli aggression."

He pointed out that "when the official exams for vocational education began, we received threats via social media to target the exam centers, and investigations conducted by the Intelligence Directorate indicated that these threats might be behind by affected students. The same situation is repeating on a national level, where the intensity of psychological warfare is escalating, but, God willing, our nation will overcome this phase to achieve a form of lasting stability on the borders, thanks to your courage, heroism, and sacrifices." Mikati held a health meeting in the Tyre Municipal Union.
