"Jihad" Announces the Death of One of Its Members in an Israeli Airstrike in Southern Lebanon

On Saturday, the Jihad Movement announced the death of one of its members in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon. The movement stated that the strike resulted in the death of Muhammad Zahir Khalil Jalbout, also known as "Abu Khalil," who holds Palestinian nationality. Jalbout was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the motorcycle he was riding on the Aytaroun-Bint Jbeil road in southern Lebanon. The Israeli army released a video on Saturday documenting the moment of the strike, which also resulted in the injury of another person. The official National News Agency of Lebanon reported that the strike was carried out using a guided missile. In the ninth month of the war, there has been a new escalation of violence on Israel's northern front along the border with Lebanon, with intense shelling exchanges between Hezbollah and the Israeli army.
