Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of a terrifying nuclear war if action is not taken against the Iranian regime, stating that Tehran has crossed the "red line" with its nuclear activities. In an interview with "Iran International," he emphasized that "the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is the largest terrorist organization in the world that exports terrorism and does not hide it," mentioning that they "seek to kill American officials and opposing journalists around the world, in addition to the crimes they commit inside Iran." Netanyahu questioned, "Is the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization? If this is not terrorism, then I don't know what terrorism is!"
Regarding whether he would raise the issue of the Revolutionary Guard and the possibility of designating it as a terrorist organization during his meetings with Western leaders, Netanyahu confirmed, "Yes! I will talk to them about this and other issues. I assure you."
On the developments of the Iranian nuclear program, Netanyahu stated, "We have a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency that the Associated Press has seen a copy of." He explained that "this report confirms that inspectors found particles of uranium enriched to 83.7 percent inside Iranian facilities."
Netanyahu warned that the Iranian nuclear program is "moving very quickly towards a dangerous stage," noting that "while our operations and others may have delayed reaching this stage by at least 10 years, this has not stopped it." He reiterated that "they are still making progress in this program and this process must stop," stressing that "we must tell the Iranian regime that if you are on the verge of becoming a nuclear power, we will not tolerate that."
He addressed the Iranian people, stating, "I try to convey this message as much as I can and in the best way. Not only our security and the world's security are at stake, but the security of the Iranian people is also threatened." He emphasized that "when they have nuclear weapons, they will feel invulnerable and believe it will preserve their regime forever," warning that they "do not want nuclear weapons just to instill fear in the world and destroy it, but they also see nuclear possession as a barrier to their downfall and believe it will provide them with immunity."
He added, "Therefore, for the freedom of the Iranian people and the security of the world, and to prevent unabated terrorism, the Iranian regime should not be allowed to even approach nuclear armament; or to obtain it because this would be bad news for Iran and for the world."
Regarding whether the Iranian regime has crossed the "red line" in the nuclear file, Netanyahu confirmed that "for 7 years they did not cross the red line, but they have crossed it now." He added, "Perhaps they thought that due to the change in the Israeli government, they could expand their activities and move further. But we must tell them that there is still a red line that should not be crossed, and crossing this line will cost you dearly."
On his electoral promise before becoming Prime Minister that Iran would be at the heart of Israeli foreign policy, he said, "Preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power is at the heart of Israel's foreign policy," stressing that "I returned to the government to do my utmost to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power."
Netanyahu addressed those who think that any action against the Iranian regime would lead to war, saying, "If we do not act, we will face a nuclear war that is expected to be terrifying." Regarding recent statements by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, who considered that attacking nuclear facilities contradicts international law, Netanyahu stated: "I believe Grossi's statements, as a respected person, were wrong and inappropriate." He emphasized that "there is nothing more legitimate than preventing a regime that clearly wants to destroy your country after obtaining a weapon that achieves its goals. This is absurd; I hope this does not reflect what Grossi truly believes. In any case, we have the right to defend ourselves."
