The body of Ismail Haniya, the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), arrived today, Thursday, in Doha from Iran, in preparation for his burial tomorrow, Friday, with the presence of both public and official attendance. Social media shared a video of Haniya's wife bidding him farewell with emotional words.
The funeral prayer will be held after Friday prayers at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab Mosque in the Qatari capital, followed by burial at the Imam Founder's Cemetery in Al-Wakil. Earlier today, the Iranian capital witnessed a funeral ceremony for Haniya with official and public attendance, following his assassination at his residence. Hamas confirmed that Haniya was assassinated on Wednesday due to an Israeli airstrike.
