An Iraqi security source revealed on Thursday that an arrest warrant has been issued for "Hanoona Hukum," the owner of a beauty salon in Baghdad. The source stated that the Ministry of Interior's Committee for Combating Low-quality Content, through careful monitoring and based on judicial orders from the specialized Karakh Court for publishing and media cases, took legal measures against the individual named (Hanoona Hukum).
A responsible security official reported in early April that the owner of a beauty and tattoo center in the Mansour area of Baghdad, known as (Hanoona Hukum), was arrested on charges of low-quality content. According to available information, the accused recently published offensive, scandalous videos that were obscene and contained sexual implications.
The information also indicates that (Hukum) is accused of blackmailing girls and women who visited her center by taking photos of them and threatening them with those images. In February of this year, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and the Supreme Judicial Council launched a campaign to pursue those accused of spreading "low-quality content" on social media, resulting in the arrest of several individuals on these charges.
The campaign was welcomed by Iraqis due to the decline in the quality of content and the use of inappropriate language by certain personalities who have become well-known for such content on digital platforms and social media. A judicial source reported at the end of February that the Court of Cassation annulled the sentences issued against those accused of spreading "low-quality content," reducing the sentences to only 100 days. At that time, the source stated that the Court of Cassation overturned previous verdicts related to the dissemination of what is called "low-quality content," reducing the sentences against the accused to 3 months and 10 days only.
