The President of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, emphasized that any candidate from the resistance axis, regardless of their name or identity, represents the void itself. He stressed that those who want a statelet and illegal weapons are simply "working for them." During the divine liturgy for the repose of the souls of the martyrs of Zahle, Geagea announced that "we will not allow this system and its behind-the-scenes actors to capture new souls, nor will we allow them to take away our hope and 'subdue' the spirit of resistance within us so that we will accept this miserable situation, resigning ourselves to fate. In our lexicon, there is no kneeling or going back, and we will not rest until we restore dignity and freedom to the Lebanese people and achieve for Biar and his companions, as well as all the martyrs of Zahle, their dream and aspirations for a homeland that befits them."
Geagea considered that "this structure creates an ideal environment for incubating and exacerbating all types of crises and challenges, as we witness in the subject of the presidential vacuum, where they speak of dialogue and understanding while having already decided who they want, according to the manner they desire." He addressed "those who blackmail us every time, giving us the choice between their candidate or the vacuum," saying: "Go drown in the sea," because any candidate from the resistance axis, regardless of their name or identity, is the void itself, and their term will merely continue the first part of the previous term."
He elaborated, stating: "The problem with the previous term was not just the identity of the president and his name, but rather in the approach of the resistance axis, which is completely contrary to the concept of the state, leading Lebanon to collapse, bankruptcy, and being 'ostracized' regionally and internationally. Therefore, as long as this approach does not change, any candidate from this line, regardless of their name, will lead to a result similar to what we witnessed in the previous term."
Geagea added: "The time for patchwork, ambiguity, and procrastination has passed. Any candidate lacking a clear identity and lacking sovereign and reformist features is rejected. Thus, any patchwork candidate is unacceptable at a time when there is nothing left in this state to patch." He stated that "the resistance axis has assumed the presidency once and has destroyed the country a thousand times, so it is time for them to step back and allow honest, reformist, and sovereign Lebanese to lead the people out of the abyss caused by this axis, instead of seeking dialogues to propose candidates and appoint presidents or negotiate the form of the future government." He affirmed, "We will not let the corrupt consume the traders' money."
Geagea addressed the "resistance axis," saying: "You will not enter the palace." He added: "From now on, it is unacceptable to hear about suicide, emigration, or 'a people being buried alive' due to oppression, despair, and rampant injustice and corruption."
