Israeli media revealed today, Tuesday, the identity of the target in the Israeli strike that hit the southern suburb of Beirut. Israeli media reported that "the strike targeted the senior military advisor to the leader of Hezbollah, Fouad Shukr, who was the project manager for missiles in the organization," noting that "Shukr is considered the second man in Hezbollah." It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army earlier set a reward of up to 5 million dollars for information about Fouad Shukr, according to Israeli media sources.
Fouad Shukr played a key role in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, which resulted in the deaths of 241 American service members. The identity of the victims of the Israeli strike in the Beirut suburb has not yet been confirmed.
