The Tunisian Public Prosecutor's Office for Combating Terrorism has decided to appeal the investigating judge's decision to release political activist and member of the National Salvation Front, Shaima Eissa. Based on this decision, the case will be referred to the Court of Appeals to rule on it, either by upholding the investigating judge's decision or overturning it. In light of the prosecutor's appeal, Shaima Eissa will remain in custody until the Court of Appeals decides on her release. Shaima Eissa was incarcerated months ago along with a group of political leaders on suspicion of conspiracy against state security. Today, lawyer Dalila Ben Mbarek announced to "Reuters" that the investigating judge in Tunisia had decided to release her prominent opposition client, Shaima Eissa, adding that "she will leave prison today unless the public prosecutor challenges the judge's decision."
