The Abu Dhabi Speedboat Team is preparing for an important round of global and local championships next December, aiming to achieve several titles and top positions in all upcoming events, thanks to the significant support and keen follow-up from the club's Chairman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.
The Abu Dhabi team will participate in the first round of the World Championship for the third category, which will start in Khorfakkan from December 5 to 8. Following this, the final round of the "Formula 1" World Championship will take place in the Emirate of Sharjah, specifically on the shores of Khalid Lake on December 10.
The team's members are currently preparing through a series of training sessions at the breakwater in the capital, Abu Dhabi, for both categories, with daily drills scheduled for all upcoming events. The team intends to compete in the third category with two boats led by Majid Al Mansoori, Rashid Al Tayer, Faleh Al Mansoori, and Shawn Torrente, while they will participate in the final round of "Formula 1" with three boats led by Thani Al Qemzi, Shawn Torrente, and Rashid Al Qemzi.
For his part, the General Manager of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, Salem Al Remeithi, expressed his gratitude to the club's Chairman for his substantial support and diligent follow-up, noting that this support represents a key element in achieving excellence in all accomplishments at both local and global levels.
He stated, "The Abu Dhabi team continues to maintain its global presence and achieve titles and top positions in all its participations. We aspire to further enhance this presence and expansion. While the title is secured in the Formula 1 World Championship, our champions have strong prospects for winning the final round and achieving second place in the championship. We will also strive in the third category to lead the overall standings from the start of the competitions."
Al Remeithi also thanked the Sharjah Tourism Development Authority and the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, noting that the Emirate will host a series of upcoming championships on its various shores, showcasing the high and usual standards of distinguished organization.
