Hezbollah announced the targeting of the newly established headquarters for the 411th Artillery Battalion in Jaitoun with rocket fire. The party stated in a press release that, "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli enemy's attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes, the fighters of the Islamic resistance targeted on Saturday, June 1, 2024, the newly established headquarters for the 411th Artillery Battalion in Jaitoun with rocket fire."
Earlier, the "National News Agency" reported that "the Israeli enemy targeted the town of Kfarkila with artillery shelling and machine gun fire, and used phosphorus shells on the town of Khiam." It added, "The surroundings of the Mays Al-Jabal government hospital and its outer wall were also targeted by artillery fire. Additionally, there was shelling from the Misqafam settlement on the town of Adaysseh, resulting in a fire in the area near the Al-Waydah hill."
In response, Hezbollah issued the following statement: "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and as part of the response to the Israeli enemy's attacks that targeted the towns of Adloun and Sidiqin, which resulted in the martyrdom of a civilian woman and injuries to others, the fighters of the Islamic resistance targeted on Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Hanita settlement with a salvo of rockets."
**Funeral of a Hezbollah Member**
Hezbollah, along with the residents of the town of Kfarmelki, mourned the martyr "Ahmad Muhammad Taboush" with a large procession, after the commemorative ceremonies. The Imam Mahdi Scout Band played the martyr's tune, followed by a group of fighters taking the oath of allegiance and loyalty to continue on the path of resistance and the martyrs.
After Sheikh Ghaleb Halal led the prayer over the body, the coffin was carried through the town's streets amid chants in support of the resistance, with participation from member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Amin Shari, along with figures, activists, and families of martyrs. The martyr was laid to rest in the town's cemetery alongside those who preceded him.
**Israeli Army Statement**
For its part, the Israeli army stated: "We conducted more than 40 airstrikes on the Lebanese border over 72 hours." Israeli media regarded the downing of a "Hermes" drone as a highly exceptional incident that demonstrates Hezbollah's capability to down aircraft belonging to the air force.
