The "Al-Jumhuriya" newspaper learned that the Union of Arab Banks will announce support for the Central Bank of Lebanon and its new leadership by holding a banking conference soon in Beirut. Preparations for the conference will begin, and it will involve governors of Arab central banks and the Arab Monetary Fund. The participation of the acting governor of the Central Bank, Wassim Mansouri, in the ongoing meetings of the Arab Monetary Fund in Algeria reflects the Arab banking interest in Lebanon and the trust in Mansouri. Three addresses have been allocated for the acting Lebanese central bank governor: The first will focus on enhancing the digitization of financial services and maintaining financial stability. The second will address the priorities of the Financial Action Task Force and the challenges of implementing its standards in the Arab region. The third will discuss the interplay and relationship between monetary and fiscal policies. The content of these three addresses offers substantial material for discussion amid the challenges faced by the world, particularly in the Arab region, regarding monetary stability and existing financial policies.
