Complete calm prevails in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, while representatives of "Fatah" and "Hamas" continue their rounds with Lebanese leaders. The factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in the Tyre area held their regular meeting, chaired by the Secretary of Fatah and the PLO factions in the Tyre area, Tawfiq Abdallah, at the Fatah headquarters in the Rashidiya camp. The discussions focused on "the situation in Ain al-Hilweh after the assassination of Abu Ashraf al-Aramoushi and his companions, and the subsequent attack on Fatah's sites and the Palestinian National Security Forces."

The attendees confirmed the necessity that "everyone adheres to the results of the investigation committee formed by the Joint Palestinian Action Committee in Lebanon and to hand over the killers to the Lebanese judiciary to receive their due punishment... and to commit to what has been agreed upon with our brothers in the Amal Movement, Hezbollah, the Nasirite Organization, the Lebanese state, and all who worked to avert fitna (internal strife)..." They thanked President Nabih Berri for his keen interest in the security and stability of Ain al-Hilweh camp and all Palestinian camps, appreciating his firm stance that the PLO is the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
