TMZ and other media outlets reported yesterday, Tuesday, that "Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, the Hollywood stars who renewed their love and married after two decades of their famous breakup, are getting a divorce." TMZ stated that "Jennifer Lopez, who sang 'Love Don't Cost a Thing,' filed divorce papers in the Los Angeles County Superior Court yesterday."
The divorce request comes two years after the couple held an extravagant wedding in Georgia, where they exchanged vows for the first time in July 2022 at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas. Representatives for Lopez and Affleck did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In the early 2000s, the couple, dubbed "Bennifer," was the center of attention in the celebrity world, known for their luxury cars and a large 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring. They suddenly canceled their wedding in 2003 and separated a few months later.
